Centre Kundwa

Children and adolescents between the ages of 3-17 years, experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties are welcome at Ndera Hospital.

They stay at the Kundwa Center where they are initially observed by psychologists and psychiatric nurses to determine their psychological difficulties and to determine the best treatment to help them resolve their psychological problems and quickly return to their families.

We receive children who experience depression, anxiety, psychosomatic disorders, PTSD, or aggressive behavior.

Psychologists and nurses work closely with the children’s families to help them make positive changes at home and to help parents understand their child’s emotional or behavioral problems so that the child continues to improve when they return home.

Psychologists at Centre Kundwa do school testing and use a variety of psychotherapeutic techniques to treat children while they are at the Center.

Play therapy, sand play therapy, CBT and projective techniques are used to help children understand their feelings and to change unhealthy or dysfunctional behaviors.
